A couple of side notes to take into consideration as you schedule:
-
Most time slots will be at the beginning or end of my days, which means early afternoon and late evening times are what will be typically available
-
If you see a 45-minute time slot available, this means another student called out of their lesson. It may be possible to squeeze you in if you text me with enough time to contact the surrounding students and see if I can move them 15 minutes. Although I cannot guarantee i'll be able to move surrounding students, It's worth asking!

What do I do if...
-
I didn't have time to practice? – It's okay to have occasional lessons where we had less time to practice–life can be busy! This is a great opportunity to still have a lesson and discuss how to break up your pieces and practice more effectively and efficiently during hectic weeks.
-
I have a vacation planned which prevents me from getting all my lessons in before my 4 months are over? – You are more than welcome to schedule more than one lesson in a week if the slots are available, we will always have material to work on.
-
I have an injury or broken bone? – This is a great opportunity to dive into topics we don't always have time for, like ear training and theory. We'll keep lessons going to ensure you continue to grow and enrich your musical skills!
-
I am late or forgot my lesson day/time? – While a makeup lesson cannot be provided for a forgotten lesson, if you're late, you can still enjoy the remaining time of your scheduled lesson, though we won't extend beyond your reserved slot.

PAUSING/DISCONTINUING LESSONS
If there seems to be a decrease in interest, please let your teacher know. Sometimes a new approach or different books, music, or activities can renew our enjoyment of music. It's best to act early, as long breaks can be counterproductive. That being said, every student eventually stops taking lessons, and it's best when this decision is made thoughtfully through discussions between the teacher, student and parent. You are never obligated to stay a full year, however, giving a one-month notice helps ensure a smooth and positive transition for everyone and is greatly appreciated as it helps your teacher be more prepared to fill the spot.
🎶 Please, leave a review! 🎶
